Understand the repair scope
The refrigerant label and system type are confirmed, operating pressures and vent temperature are assessed, and an initial visual and electronic leak check is carried out.
Remaining refrigerant is recovered with approved equipment, the system is evacuated and tested for its ability to hold vacuum before the specified mass of refrigerant and oil is charged.
Cooling performance, pressures and compressor operation are rechecked. A regas is not appropriate where a significant leak or failed component remains unrepaired.
Checks that should support the diagnosis
